The Butterfly in Thee

This is a story about a little worm. It was born a worm and all its friends were worms as well. Now one day the little worm thought and imagined how wonderful would it be to transform itself into something marvelous for all to see. Imagination is the only redemptive power we have to change our lives. So it thought if I could fly how neat would that be. I would be as light as a feather and float through the air and be free. Now if I were all that I could imagine myself to be I would slip on a bright colorful coat of beauty for thee. The perfect pattern I would be. I would feast on all the majestic and lovely flowers that welcomed me. I would frolic in the breeze and dance with the trees. I would sunbath on the dirt while basking under the laughing sun. I would recreate me into what I wanted all to see.
Now the little worm desired to transform himself into what he wanted to be, which was a beautiful butterfly for all to see. Now everything the little worm needed was contained within, and not without, as most expect it to be. Having faith and belief and knowing that he, which is within, is greater than thee and is the one that does the work. So the worm went to work forming a cocoon around its little body and waited for the one within to do the work and transform its self into what it believed itself to be. For the one within is greater than thee. The worm planted the idea in its mind and remained faithful and waited upon the Lord to deliver thee. So you can be whatever you choose. Choose big, claim big and plant your ideas in your mind and remain faithful to your desires, and go within always for all your answers. The answers you are looking for are always within, never without. Go silently and quietly into the crevices of your own mind. For your subconscious is where the truth lies. We are all no more than our beliefs in life so I say be happy, laugh, love, be kind to yourself and others, offer a blessing upon everyone you meet with a smile or a thought of wishing them well and wait and see who is really the recipient of the blessing, it is thee.

Healing From the Inside Out
This message comes from my heart.
This is about your and my health and society’s health as a whole.
We were all created out of an ideal or thought of another. That is how we all came to be.
What is so wonderful is that we have been equipped in life with everything we need. Now we might not think we have been, but I am telling you the truth if you will just believe it.
Ok, I see you saying I just don’t know about what you are trying to sell me. Well ok, let me ask you a few questions?
If you break a nail, does it grow back on its own?
If you get a cut does it heal on its own?
Do you breathe on your own?
Do you talk and laugh on your own?
Do you walk or run on your own?
If you get a bruise does it heal on its own?
If you cut your hair does it grow back on its own?
If you lose your baby teeth when you are a child are they replaced with your adult teeth on their own?
If you are a male does your voice change as you are becoming an adult on its own?
The answer to these questions is yes and these things happen without any help from us; they happen naturally and on their own.
Our bodies are created to heal on its own if we work with our bodies and listen to what they are telling us from the inside of ourselves. Everything that is relevant in life comes from the inside of us. We must stop looking outside of ourselves for our answers when the only truth lies within.
Our bodies are the most perfect piece of machinery that ever existed in the history of the world. So my question to you is, why would the most perfect piece of machinery ever go bad or have problems if it is created in the image and likeness of it creator? Now the answer is simple. We put the wrong ingredient in this perfect piece of machinery. We are feeding our minds with the wrong messages and the wrong thoughts. In baking a cake if we put the wrong ingredient in the cake it might become uneatable and the whole cake must be thrown out as the result. Well that is no different than putting the wrong ideas or thoughts into our minds and having it showing up in our health as disease. Disease is dis-ease showing up in our bodies in a manifested form from fears, falsehoods, hate, judging others, accusing others and false beliefs, and allowing negative patterns to become habits in our lives and not rooting them out on the conscious level before they deepened into the subconscious level of our minds. Now the good news is this can all be fixed by throwing out all the bad ideas and beliefs that you are so tightly hanging onto because it is what you know and is comfortable to you. You must cloth yourself in new beautiful garments starting today. The only way to replace bad habits is to come up with good habits. You must identify what is not working and think on your own what are the best ideas to replace what you don’t want in your life. This is a project you do on your own in your quite time and not with others. Ask yourself what others really think of me and not what you think of yourself because the answers can be miles apart. Write these ideas down so you have a road map to guide you through the changes you are making in your life and use this map until the bad habit has dropped away and only the new good habits remain. Your subconscious mind created your body and it knows how to fix it on its own if you will change your beliefs and thoughts about your life and your environment. Start with stop blaming others around you because what you see in others that you don’t like is just a reflection of your own thoughts coming back and staring you in the face. All change comes from within first, and that is the first cause, and once that is changed you will see it externalized as good health in your body as a result of correct thinking. It doesn’t work the other way around, where it is manifested first and then you change your mind and ideas into good thoughts. It is the good thoughts that change the results. All healing power comes from within and not from without. You must change your internal and external dialogue because that is the cause of your problems. You are your own self fulfilling prophecy and until you understand that basic fact of life you will be lost in your own drama of life. You must understand that you are the project of change not the others in your life. Wake up in the morning telling yourself I am healthy, happy, and whole and whatever else you want in your life is there for the claiming. Say it over and over until it feels real and then becomes real. Only come from a point of action in your life because that is coming from a positive position and not a reactive position because reactive is always a negative position. So make it sweet, or make it bitter, the choice is up to you and only you. So my thoughts are, only think upon good and happy blessings for yourself, and others and you will taste success and victory for all.
All is finished. God Bless

In having a conversation with my sister last night, and hearing of a lot of people I know having health problems and other issues, I decided that I was going to pray for people that needed help. I will pray this prayer several times a day with passion and faith knowing my prayers will be answered for however long it takes for me to hear good news. This is for people in my life that I care about and want to see the best happen for them in their lives. This is my prayer and I thought I would share it with you. If you would like to use it for yourself and your loved ones please feel free.
Prayer of Love
This prayer is for me, my family, my relatives, my friends, my neighbors and their families, their relatives, friends and neighbors and so on till all are healed as one.
We are at peace, harmony, calm, tranquil, joyous, happy and relaxed in our lives.
The collective subconscious mind and healing intelligence of our being is now transforming every cell, molecule, atom, nerve, tissue, muscle, blood, bones in our collective bodies to the perfect pattern of all organs and substance buried in our subconscious minds.
All negative and distorted thought patterns are removed and dissolved from our subconscious minds easily, quickly and effortlessly in the silence of our minds.
Every molecule and atom flow with perfection and wholeness in our lives and is restored in our bodies, mind and spirit. The living spirit of health, beauty, pure love, kindness and gentleness is like the flowing stream running through our lives effortlessly. We are all open to receiving these blessings in our lives now and forever of perfect health, harmony and peace.
Love in the purest form is made manifest in all our lives and has returned all too perfect health, happiness and joy. Discomfort, distortion or disappointment has gently been wiped from the remembrances of all of our minds. Perfect health and happiness is being enjoyed by all.
All is finished. God Bless

Daisies and Sunflowers
These are two new paintings that I just did and one is a painting of daisies and the other is a painting of sunflowers. Now I always have a purpose in my paintings, and a message, so here it is. When you look at this picture do you feel like you could be picking daisies or that you’re underground pushing up daisies because you are buried in life?
What is your mood like right now? Good, bad or indifferent? If you have a mirror around I would like you to pick it up and hold it in your hand. Look into the mirror and tell me what you see. Is it you? Is it what you see every day in the mirror when you look at yourself? Well, if it is, you are seeing the wrong thing. Oh yes, you are seeing your face. But what you really should be seeing in that mirror is the world you have created for yourself and others around you. You see, what you should be seeing is what is hidden from sight but what is being reflected in your world each and every day through your thoughts.
Take for example the person that sits next to you at work, or school, or wherever. How do you feel about that person? Do you like them and think good thoughts about them or do you talk poorly about them to others or to yourself? Now you might not have realized this but the person that is being talked poorly about, whether to someone else or just in the silence of your mind, knows, and will deliver back to you what ever thought you have of them. They must fulfill your concept of them for it is the law of life. So if you think a person is never nice then that person will never be nice to you because they must reflect back to you your exact thoughts of them. But the moment you change your attitude towards them they will automatically change their attitude towards you because they are nothing more than a reflection of your thoughts. They are reflecting back at you your own concepts that you have formed of them and others. So my question is; how is your day going? I hope your answer is wonderful because that is what you have created for yourself whether you want to accept that fact or not. But the good news is, if your day or life is not rolling down the pike as you would like it, all that you have to do is change your view point and it will rearrange the pattern in your mind and produce completely new results. Try it and see. All causes are derived from your thoughts even though you think it is coming from outside yourself. It is coming from within, and that is the only place where the change can take place. So make your life the perfect place to be.

Derby Party
This is a painting that I just finished that is going to be given to my oldest sister today. She saw a different painting that I had completed recently and wanted to buy it but I told her it wasn’t for sale. However, if she wanted a print I would give that to her for free. She really didn’t take well to that answer and was agitated with me for not giving her the original, but I had the original hanging on my wall in my home and liked it there. After hearing the disappointment in her voice I told her I would paint an original for her and do it in her homes color tones. She was very happy to hear that answer.
My sister gave a derby party for my nephew before he got married and I thought it would be nice to do a whimsical picture of my two sisters and myself in a southern garden Derby party setting. So here we are all dressed up with big hats. Of course the mint juleps were flowing with lots of Kentucky bourbon and all the other wonderful drinks and food galore for all to enjoy. I had never been to a derby party before and it was so much fun to see the ladies adorned in big floppy hats and beautiful colored dresses and the gentlemen looking dapper for the special event. We had a good size crowd and it just so happened that I picked the winning horse that day which was lots of fun. Now all the ladies had gone out and bought fancy hats for themselves but I didn’t. So the day of the party I went out to my garden and clipped asparagus fern and roses and brought them into my home to attach to my big black floppy hat and - voila! - I had a hat fit for a derby party straight from the garden. You see I used my imagination and came up with a fun and different hat that was the hit of the party. So use your imagination and create something fun in your life today.

Whimsical Sail Boat with Dolphins
This is a new painting I just completed that is part of a series of whimsical boats at sea. The first one I did was of a whimsical clipper ship at sea with dolphins. I don’t know if the people reading my blogs are art lovers or not, but I really try to convey a much deeper meaning to my work. Artists really express who and what they are through their art and what is going on in their lives at the time. I personally find that to be true for myself and what I am expressing at the moment. The reason I am doing these paintings at sea is to give anyone looking at them the sense of freedom, like the feeling you have if you have ever been at sea on a large sail boat or clipper ship. It is just you, the water and maybe some sea life or birds; and the beautiful sea breeze can be intoxicating. The message that I would like to convey to others is that even if you think you are not creative, in reality, all we really are is creative beings. Now our form of creativity is expressed in different ways because we are all individuals with different talents and likes and dislikes. So the key in life is not to worry about the other guy but instead focus on yourself and your natural talents and abilities. Contemplate what comes easy and effortless to you and pursue what you love and are good at. What happens sometimes is that the things we love and have a passion about we overlook because we don’t have to struggle to accomplish. Creativity is just there in our imagination and that is what is overlooked because we have this false idea that we must struggle in order to accomplish our goals. That could not be further from the truth. I know people who have extraordinary God -given talent in an area and yet they do not pursue that talent professionally because they, at one point in their lives, were told by another not to go down that road as a career. They fell into the power of suggestion by others and abandoned their own truth to live out some other person’s idea of what they should do and that is a very sad reality that a lot of people are living out in our society today. You will never work a day in your life if you follow your passion because that is what comes naturally, just like breathing, and you would never claim you were working when you breathe. The same place your subconscious ability to breath comes from is the same place your unique talents came from, so don’t overlook what is natural and effortless. Make use of your imagination and live a life of happiness because it is there for you to claim. So go now and create your dream life for yourself because you deserve it and can accomplish anything in life you wish.

Whimsical Clipper Ship with Dolphins
This is a picture that I recently painted in acrylic paint that reflects my imagination at work. There are a lot of beautiful clipper ship paintings on the market. As a matter of fact my father has some beautiful ones that he has painted that you can check out at www.bobkevin.com; but I was not going for that look. When I started this painting it was me and a blank white canvas with some thoughts of what I soon would be creating. I wanted something that was whimsical, fun, creative and had a dreamier fantasy look to it, and this is what I came up with.
Now you probably think this is about my new painting, but it is not. This is just the vehicle to get my point across to anyone reading this blog. This is about our imagination. Are we using it in our lives or are we wasting the most precious gift we have by ignoring the limitless potential we all possess in our imagination, which is the only redemptive power we have? Your mind is your canvas. When was the last time you sat quietly by yourself and thought of what you would like in your life and meditated on what you would like to bring into your life right now? Most of us don’t make a habit of taking time out for ourselves and imagining, and contemplating what would really make us happy in our lives. I am here to tell you that by recreating in your mind how you would like your life to be you have redemptive power. If you recreate in your mind the reality you desire, and contemplate it from a belief that it already exists in your life, and hold steadfast to that belief, it will appear. Don’t worrying how it will happen, but just know it will, and come from the belief that it already has. You and your beliefs are your own self fulfilling prophecy. So I would ask; what do you have to lose but the manifestation of your dreams if you don’t put this most wonderful gift to work for yourself? So come sail away with me and create, just like I have this whimsical clipper ship, the wonderful life you want today.

Thanks Uncle For The Spirit That Lives On
We all have people and animals that come and go in our lives.
We don’t really look at them when they are alive as divine living spirits when they are here with us but that is exactly what they are. We are living spirits in a body and not a body with a living spirit but I think that point is missed sometimes. Your spirit is your mind, your soul, your essence, your very being to who and what you are as a person.
Are you fun, happy, easy to be around, enjoy life, thankful for all your blessings, kind, generous, loving, thoughtful and spread the good news to others to lift their spirits? Or are you a pain in the ass to be around, a drama queen, wake up in a bad mood and go to sleep in the same manner as you woke, selfish, thoughtless, unconscious, never had a good day or a nice thing to say about anyone, loveless and always think someone else needs fixing instead of yourself? Whatever category or adjectives you fall into that my friend is your spirit. That is what I am talking about. Your spirit will be around long after you are gone, be it good or bad the spirit lingers after we have passed from the earth. That is the thing that others will remember about us in their memories and it has a ripple effect throughout the world and it is their energy that is left behind for the rest of us. What is the ripple of your energy right now in the world?
The real reason I am writing this is my Uncle passed away recently who was very important in my life. I wanted you to understand the depth of what I am talking about and not the superficial things that most people would think I was talking about. When I think about him daily I remember his big boisterous laughter and how I could hear it when he was on his porch talking to someone on the phone. I live next door. When I would invite him and my Aunt for dinner I remember how he would rave about the food and take in every little detail and was the life of the party. Uncle would go for walks or bike rides almost daily and I would see him when I was in my garden. He would wave or stop by and say hello to me or tell me about the adventure he was going on or had just come back from. He was full of energy and loved life to its fullest. He loved a challenge and was invigorated by the thought of overcoming it. He always gave of his time to his family, friends, various groups and organizations and the church. If you were a stranger and he saw you on the side of the road he would inquire if you needed help. He started taking an elderly gentleman to church each Sunday because the man was walking and it was quite a distance. He was always out and about and would always think of my parents who live on the same street and bring them by little thoughtful things from his travels. He would call my parents every morning and talk or Skype them throughout the day with little thoughts that were on his mind. Uncle always had a story to tell and could hardly tell it without laughing; he saw the humor in everything. He loved the birds that would come in our backyards. Every time I see a hummingbird I think of him because he loved them and we would tell each other when we would see the first one so we could put out nectar for them. You see it is the little things that remain in our memories like the smiles, laughter, love, joy, thoughtfulness and stories. Those are his ripples in the world that he left behind in my mind. Thanks for being the best Uncle a girl ever have.

Happy Fathers Day
Today I am talking about my father.
Tomorrow is Father’s Day.
My father is just plain wonderful.
My father has three daughters, and if you think that was easy for him being outnumbered by four, strong, opinionated women all his life, think again. Even before we came along he was raised with a lot of strong women surrounding his world.
Now my father has been described by some as a man of few words and this can be true in some circumstances. But as the inner family circle knows, meaning our five original family members, he is the one that we girls always sought out for his opinion on everything, and still do to this day.
My father (Pop) has very good taste in many things and he doesn’t just tell you what he thinks you want to hear, he tells you the truth.
To be raised on the truth is a liberating experience and one to be valued.
He acts out his beliefs through his life and doesn’t just blow out empty words for the sake of hearing himself talk or trying to impress others. No, that would be below his standards of life. He really is his beliefs which are kind, thoughtful, unselfish, loving, generous, fun, great sense of humor, cute, with a ‘twinkle in his eye’ kind of soul. He is an unassuming kind of person and is not looking for recognition and attention being placed upon himself and that is why everyone loves his company and to be around him. He is the truest form of love in motion that a person can be. Now my father is the kind of man that thought it was more important to stay home and raise his grandkids then to pursue his own interest in life, and we are all glad he did because they turned out to be wonderful children. He also is the kind of person who allowed his mother-in-law to come live with him. He and my mother cared for her and she lived to 98. What is really more extraordinary then all that is that he has always had a smile on his face while doing it. He could always make light of an event that didn’t go so well, telling the story and making you laugh and enjoy the tale of which there were many. He never acted put out or inconvenienced with all the demands put upon him daily, he was just always there for all of us all the time. Do you know what the meaning behind me telling you this story is? It isn’t about all the things he has done for us all our lives; it is about who he is as a person. It is about his very being as a person. Once you perfect yourself on the inside it radiates on the outside for all to see. Thanks Pop for being the perfect Pop for me.

Look Who Came Knocking
One day I heard a knock outside my door.
I opened the door to find a little bird.
The bird was sitting on the ground as I walked towards it.
Was it stunned or was it hurt?
While picking it up to check for any injuries it didn’t move.
I held it and kept it warm in my hands while talking to it.
I knew it was stunned and needed time to recover.
As I caressed its little back it started to move.
I told the little bird it was fine and in good hands.
When you are ready I will set you free.
I will protect you till you’re able to fly.
You might think that I nursed the little bird back to health but indeed it is just the opposite.
It nursed me back to health.
It is just what I needed that moment and it came.
God’s wisdom and grace was shared with me that day.

Oh, my little bee Nikki.
You flutter your tiny wings so rapidly.
You are pollinating the flowers as fast as can be.
You do your work so diligently for all to see.
Your patients hear you coming as you buzz in.
Then you vibrate your flight muscles as you buzz out.
Your soft nature and long yellow hair trimmed in black headbands.
You’re a social bee buzzing about.
Bring the garden from inside out.
Be the warm fresh breeze that sweeps the room.
While spreading hope and laughter and good news.
Smile for it is the only sunshine in the room.
While your sweet fragrance lingers about after you depart.
They will know you touched their heart.
So lift their fragile spirits up.
Be the light that guides the heart that is afraid.
This is the medicine for all that day.
This they will remember.
The Doctor that came to be Nikki.

God
Do you trust me wholly?
Do you know who I AM?
Do you look like me or act like me?
Are your thoughts and desires worthy of me?
Do you have the faith of a mustard seed?
Having the faith of a mustard seed means full and complete faith.
Not as some interpret it as meaning as little faith because a mustard seed is small in size.
A mustard seed knows what it is completely.
It doesn’t try to fool itself into thinking it is something other than itself.
It knows the truth.
Remove the veil and let the world know the true gift you have been given as the individual that you are right now.
Are you the heir to my Kingdom or not?
If you are then act like you are and claim your wants and desires that are worthy and good.
Faith is not what you can touch today physically but what you know is to come.
Believe and keep believing until it arrives just as your thoughts have made it come alive.

Rain
The rain came down one day, after weeks of heat and drought.
The trees, plants and flowers were parched, as they cried out for water.
The grass crunched under my feet, from the dryness as I walked thru the field.
Why did it take so long before it got a drink of water?
When the rain came it was better than gold drops from heaven.
It’s exactly what the land needed to survive.
The music of the rain and the popping sound it made bouncing off the dirt was so exciting.
I sat in joy, thanks and appreciation.
The wind started to blow and you could hear the rain forming puddles in the dirt.
The rain was popping on top of the water.
The dark clouds were still in the sky above as the rain slowed.
Like a magician with sleight of hand in a magic trick the sun shed its light.
The gift from above was over.
Were you present in that day of glory?

True Love
True love can’t be given to you or taken away from you.
It is exclusively yours.
It lies in the crevasses of your mind and heart where no one can go but you.
You know it because it’s the purists of love and your very soul is completely filled with joy.
If you have ever experienced it you are beyond lucky you are blessed.
True love is what you experience when you decide and only you put forth the love to be experienced.
This is not something that comes from without but can only come from within.
It is the gift that you give yourself.
If you haven’t received true love as of yet, dwell upon the happiest times in your life and remain there until you feel a shift come over you.
If you have never experienced happy times dream big, very big dreams for yourself and don’t stop dreaming until they all come true.
God Bless

Today I saw this beautiful butterfly in my garden and thought of you.
It was small, stunning, fragile and graceful.
It was on a mission and had a purpose and a plan.
It slipped on its finest pattern of black, white and orange design as if it were made by the finest of tailors with a perfect fit.
It was out to play and frolicked from one Lily of the Nile plant to the next for the warm sweet nectar awaiting it.
It was a sunny day that allowed for sunbathing and provided laughter for the day.
It stayed long enough for me to take in its beauty and think of you this day.
Then it soared towards the heavens to spread joy to the next one waiting for it to appear.

Wise Little Green Frog
Oh, look how still you sit.
You are a frog no less, wanting to jump.
High up in the air you wait.
Are you sitting on top of the world while you rest upon that honeydew?
Are you taking in the heavenly view, from the garden where you live?
What a wonderful place to be, a view from on high.
Where did you learn the lesson to wait and be patient?
Even as I moved the honeydew while you sat on it you did not flinch.
You are wise and trusted your instincts and knew you were safe with me.
May we all learn the lesson that you have mastered.
Trust ourselves in life and do not flinch from what we know ourselves to be.
Tell us how did you learn that lesson so naturally?

Rain Drops
The pine needles received a shower today.
After the rain I glanced up in the trees to see the rain drops.
The drops just dangling from the tips of the pine needles and would not release its grip.
They clung to the needles defying gravity.
How could those drops be so strong and defiant not to make a move?
They had washed the needles clean and instead of running off they decided to stay awhile.
After cleaning the needles they paused to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
They sat at the tips of the needles and admired their work.
It was a simple job but a job done with pride.
They basked in the light as it shined upon them.
It looked like small twinkling lights at Christmas.
You could sense the feeling of accomplishment.
They were looking for no praise.
While taking just a moment to reflect and feel the joy.
And the happiness of a job well done.
Relax and take in your accomplishments like the little rain drops.
No matter how small they may be.
Appreciate and Savor the moments because that is all life adds up to be.

Weeds
Today I looked at weeds a little differently.
They seemed to serve a purpose that I had not thought of before.
I felt that weeds were a nuisance and something to be dealt with but today it was different.
Weeds were actually serving a purpose.
I would have never thought that I could look upon a weed as a favorable item in my garden but I did.
Upon watering a Hamlin orange tree that was loaded with weeds below I saw something pop up from the ground at a distance.
My thoughts were it is a big bull frog but I was wrong.
I kept water the area and up popped a baby bunny that was hiding in the weeds for protection.
I had plans of cleaning out the weeds from under that tree but now my plans have changed.
This is a picture of the baby bunny that was resting peacefully amongst the weeds.

Perfection
I was thinking what would this world be like if we were all perfect?
Now this is not a question about if we did perfect things, no this is a question much greater, suppose we were perfect.
Would we even be able to recognize this place or would we feel like we were in heaven.
I find it interesting that people want to own the perfect car, live in the perfect home, have the perfect lawn, send their kids to the perfect school, have the perfect job, take the perfect vacation, fix the perfect meal and never once think about making themselves the perfect person. Do you think it would be time well spent if one would review ones character and eradicating ones flaws and shortcomings? “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father which is in heaven is perfect.” I know this is a tall order but should we at least try to raise our consciousness. What is interesting is that it doesn’t say to do perfect things but to be perfect. That is a much harder task because it entails changing our habits, ideas and thinking.
Do you find it as remarkable as I do that we somehow seem to work on everything but ourselves?
The one and only thing we have control over in life is ourselves and nothing else. We control our thoughts, actions, opinions, feelings, ideas, happiness, joy, dreams and who we become as a person or who we don’t become depending on the choices we make.
Now, I don’t know about you but I would like to have the perfect person as my friend or co-worker or neighbor then all of the perfect activities that a person could do combined.
Do you think if we spent more time on making ourselves better and less about all the external things that others would notice and like the difference?
The next time you run into that perfect person I hope the world gets to meet them because it would be one enlightened day. Change yourself and your world will change too.
God Bless

Asparagus Fern
Early one Sunday morning, the dew clung to the fine wispy leaves.
The light was bouncing off the dew.
As the wind blew the leaves softly danced in the breeze.
The dew shined like diamonds that sparkled like stars floating in the wind.
With a spring green background, fragile and tender it was a galaxy of shimmer.
I saw a bouquet of floating diamonds, with the clearest and purest twinkle there ever was.
The dew was just sitting in my garden, waiting for me to see.
Seek to see, the beauty in front of thee.

Joy Is Your Name
I woke up this morning and asked for something wonderful to happen today.
I had been working outside for hours cleaning up the yard.
It is late in the day and a hot summer afternoon at that.
I have finally made it to the garden area to start working.
While weeding the garden you appeared out of nowhere.
You were hiding in the weeds.
You were the gift I was waiting on.
Bunnies remind me of the Joy at Easter time.
I asked you not to move so I could capture this moment.
Upon returning with my camera you were waiting patiently for my arrival.
You stood poised to have your picture taken.
I thought my enthusiasm might scare you off.
But you remained calm.
You knew I was overwhelmed with Joy to see you.
While you just took in the Joy that I was feeling towards you.
So I think it is only appropriate to name you Joy.
The emotion that you brought me that day in the garden.
Thank You

Rise and shine, oh sleepy head.
Awaken for the Lord is waiting in your conciousness.
You have been a sleep for a very long time.
Rise from your deep slumber that has resembled death.
For God is lying in the very crevices of your mind.
He is waiting for you to wake up and claim your desires and ideas.
He is lying in your dreams, imagination and thoughts.
Be clear and precise and only think of good things for
yourself and others.
He lays waiting in your skull and is your very being and essence sown between the fibers of your thoughts, dreams and imagination.
Be persistent like a child in your ideas and thoughts and
know that they will appear just as you created them in your mind.
Just like the seed that is planted whether in soil or your mind it will take time, care and belief that it will appear. So believe!!!
Live like you have received your blessing in your mind and
tell no one and soon you and others will know what you have planted for it will appear according to your belief.
For the Kingdom of Heaven lies within you.
God Bless

Hummingbird

Oh, sweet little hummingbird.
You are so small and energetic.
Wings flutter and hum to the fastest beat I have ever seen.
You float in the air with the greatest of ease.
In a flash you are off and then back again.
I catch your return out of the corner of my eye when I see your energy moving near.
You are so captivating that my eyes follow your every move.
I sit near my window and watch you drink the red nectar that was prepared for your delight.
You are barely the size of my finger, yet your presence is so profound.
I have tried to capture your presence in my mind for that very day when you are not around.
You look like a jewel shining when your head and back are illuminated as the sun shines upon you.
You have a beautiful white neck and tummy and the red on your throat is seen when you raise your head to receive the nectar in front of you.
With your tiny black eyes, beak, feet and feathers outlining your little body so delicately.
Your beak is so long and thin it reminds me of a needle that would be used to sew the finest silk.
When you know I am watching sometimes you perch in the crape myrtle tree so I can get a better look at your captivating beauty.
Thank you for visiting my garden and slowing down for a moment so I can take in all the grace and splendor you have to offer.

Rainbows
You are the rainbow in my life.
Your color spans from one side of the earth to the other.
As it arches it explodes with a spectrum of colors.
Beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
You’re a bridge of bright, bold color that lights up the sky.
You connect all that falls within your boundaries.
I am enchanted while observing you.
You appear out of nowhere like magic.
Sometimes you double your image.
What a spectacular moment that is to behold.
One can only gasp as your beauty takes our breath away.
You last only moments and sometime minutes before you disappear.
Bundle your hopes and dreams for the next rainbow that comes your way.
So more of your wishes will come true for you.

Prayer to You Dear God
Prayers can hang low to the ground or prayers can soar to the heavens above.
Let this be the latter.
In my mind I have created many splendid kites that I will send to you in Heaven this day.
On these kites are messages from below.
The kites are made in all shapes and sizes with beautiful patterns and designs.
Every color in the rainbow has been used. The tails to the kites are made with thoughts of praise to you for all your blessings.
Some of the kites have kaleidoscope in them for your amusement.
Pink and purple cotton candy are floating up to you with giant lollypops swirling and twirling as they make their way higher and higher.
Candy apples are being dipped and double dipped as well as chocolate covered strawberries for the journey to heaven for your delight.
Butterflies have just emerged from their cocoons and are ready to make the flight to deliver kisses.
Puppy dogs are running up the stairs to the rainbow of heaven to join you for your presents are on their way.
Children are bundling up their laughter into little pouches of purple and scarlet silk as gold twine is being used to attach them to the kites as they dance and sing.
The bluebirds will be in flight with the kites today to make sure they arrive in case the wind dies down along the way.
So to you my Lord I hope this make for a special day.

Bumblebee
Oh, little bumblebee.
You work so patiently.
The flowers have bloomed and await your arrival.
They know you will wear a coat of soft pile.
While dusting the flowers as you dance across the garden.
Taking sips of nectar along the way.
The butterfly plant will be your favorite this day.
Come sing and buzz around me.
And let me know when you are here.
You tour my garden with such glee.
Thanks little bee for coming back and visiting me.

Children
Children are the joy that fills our lives.
They are the laughter and giggling that fills the room.
Their hugs are like warm winter blankets.
Their smiles radiate the sunshine.
They know how to play because it is natural to them.
Puppies love children because they know they are pure love.
Kids do not fear because it is not natural to their little spirits.
They trust, love, give, share and treat all equally.
They are the purest form of innocence.
All of which are to be admired.
You must allow your spirit to return to the child in you.
You know your spirit well for it was when you were the happiest.
To enter the Kingdom of God we must become child like in spirit.
So my friends seek in every way to become a kind gentle soul.
Have you noticed children are the ones happy and having all the fun?
Ask for help as a child would and keep asking until you receive that gift.
Remember children’s love and laughter is a great way to live.
Who is the teacher here?
God Bless

Train in the Sky
The storm was upon us, when I glanced up in the heavens above, there seemed to be a slow but methodical train made out of clouds.
It was dark and moving ever so slowly on a track with a destination in mind.
I wondered where it was going in the rain that day.
Did it have passengers or was it empty?
I was waiting to hear the whistle blow but it never did.
I kept watching to see how long the train was and when it would disappear out of my sight.
It captivated my attention and I could not take my eyes off it until it moved off in the distance.
It is winter and the weather has cleared but it is still overcast outside.
After glancing in the sky I wonder if I would ever see an image like that again or is that a once in a life time event.
I imagined after it passed by if I had run out to stop it and jumped on board, where would I have it take me?
I thought head north to the mountains to smell the Douglas fir.
Its Christmas time and I want to see Christmas trees and walk thru a small town while it snows and feel the energy overflowing while people get ready for the Holidays.
Then off to a local diner for homemade cherry pie and hot chocolate for starters.
Then it dawned on me I was still sitting on my couch as my imagination ran away with me. But none the less it was a great train ride. All aboard!!!

Heaven’s Music
The trees were dancing a slow dance.
Could have been a waltz.
Don’t know for sure, since I had never seen it before.
The wind chimes were playing a song I had never heard like an original piece that was being played for the very first time.
It sounded so beautiful the wind and leaves accompanied as if, they could not resist.
The leaves rustling in the wind called out to the wind chimes and said we will add to your already perfect sound.
Then the woodpecker found the right moment to add its touch to the magical song that was playing.
He knew exactly when to fade in and out.
This masterpiece went on for hours as if no one was listening.
Not one mistake, can you imagine?
I thought it played this masterpiece just for me, but I was wrong.
I then heard a bird call out in song as if it had been listening the whole time.
The wind and rustling leaves and wind chime grew louder as if it were speaking back to the bird for listening.
Sitting with my eyes closed and listening, the power and might and perfection were intoxicating.
Listen and hear the original masterpiece and the divine around you!!!

Flowing Passion
I have a very imaginative mind, to say the least, and I have big thoughts and dreams like everyone else. I have creations that I dream about being in some of the most famous museums in the world, and this is one of those paintings I imagine as a priceless treasure. Flowing Passion is a painting I did several months ago and it is a favorite of mine. This painting was done with a lot of water in the paint and the color of purple is a color of passion. This is why I called it Flowing Passion.
If we want to be honest every artist has masterpieces, great work, good work, fair work, and work they are not too proud of. When you study some of the greatest artist, and their work, this becomes very evident. When an artist becomes well known and famous all of their work becomes more valuable as if it were all created equally, and they are not, even in the artists eyes. But because of the recognition of a famous artist’s name you will pay more for any pieces of their art no matter how good the piece really is.
My father, an artist in his own right, was showing me a painting that a women artist did and I saw how much it sold for. I was blown away that anyone would pay that kind of money for something that looked the way this painting looked. I could not even imagine hanging it on a wall in my home and I am quite open minded when it comes to art. I can see a piece of art and it might not be my favorite style but I can appreciate the work and talent that went into the piece. This piece did not represent good work or talent and yet it sold for a ridiculous some of money because the woman has become recognized as a great artist.
So my recommendation to you would be, if you are going to pay handsomely for your art, buy the artist’s best works and leave the others for someone else to buy. This is just a thought for you to consider in collecting artwork for yourself.

Dazzling Sunflower
Look how big and bright your yellow petals grow.
Do you see how transparent your petals are and how they glow?
Your face is made up of the most intricate pattern.
You are full of light with the sun shining brightly upon you.
The sun is what makes you grow so large.
And the rain that falls quenches your thirst.
When the sun is shining down on you,
You turn your face to follow the sun as the day moves on.
You know it is your guiding light.
So you follow.
It is natural for you to follow.
So you do.
You tower over the other flowers in the garden.
You must be the one they look up to.
Is it your good example they admire?
Are you a beacon of light and hope that they would like to be?
Do you set out to be this admired?
Or do you just know what you were meant to be?
Aspiring to be the best and the brightest for all to see.

Whimsical Bouquet of Flowers
When I originally created this painting I loved how the background came out. I built up some areas on the canvas for dimension and loved the colors and design. I knew that I could not cover over what I thought was very unique and different. It actually took me a bit of time to contemplate what I was going to paint because it had to be the right thing for this unique background. Because the background had so much pattern and design to it, I needed to make what I was going to paint be more solid so the background could have equal value in the painting and not be diminished at all.
I knew I wanted to paint a vase of flowers but not what everyone would be expecting a vase of flowers to look like. I wanted the flowers to look exotic but free and whimsical, to add to the background and not take anything away from it while enhancing the painting. I accentuated the raised area in the vase but wanted to keep it very simple. I then carried out the color scheme in the flowers not to compete with the background. I feel the painting came out just as I had hoped and I now use this picture on the front of my business card. I also have greeting cards for sale and prints of this painting. For those of you that know me, I like, and can appreciate traditional items, but I much prefer a free spirited, unusual, and a whimsical look to things. I realize people might like a traditional look but we must all do what floats our boat in life. Please visit my website at: www.susanprinz.com.

Bluebirds
Before moving to Floral City I had never seen a Bluebird in my life. I had heard the Lyrics to the bluebird of happiness song but that was the extent of my experience with Bluebirds. Now today is a different story. For the past eight years we have had four bluebird houses in our yard and have had many Bluebirds set up home and lay their eggs. I have included pictures of the eggs that were laid in the nest, the baby birds that hatched, the mother feeding the babies while the father sat guard, a picture of one of the babies flying for the first time and three of the babies at our bird bath.
For so many years now we have seen the eggs in the nests and watched the mother and father feed the babies, hearing them crying out when they were being fed. I never got to see one fledge or ‘fly the coop’. In my mind I was determined to see this group of babies leave the nest. I was in my office on the phone facing the window one day when all of a sudden I saw a little bird fly out of the house. I knew it was one of the babies. I grabbed my camera and saw the next one peak its little head out of the hole. Then, all of a sudden it pushed off and there it went and I got the picture of it in flight leaving the bird house. Then the third bird flew out but I couldn’t capture it on the camera. I knew there were four babies but only saw three leave. I kept watching but never saw the fourth one leave.
Later that evening, before dusk, we removed the house from its pole to see if there was any left but they all had gone. I missed the first one leaving but saw the three other ones go. It was quite exciting to see them in flight and know that I would be seeing them in the yard gathering bugs to eat. Then later one day three of the Bluebirds came to the bird bath just outside my window and I got a picture between the blind slats.
I would recommend that you don’t open the bird house after nestlings are twelve to fourteen days old because it could result in them leaving the box before they are able to fly. Bluebirds usually nest in April and May but today is November 10 and I am seeing some Bluebirds running off chickadees from the houses as I write this blog.
The nest is quite interesting to see after the birds have left the houses. They are made of woven grass, pine needles and dog hair. We hang a little basket of dog hair in the orange tree near the houses and the birds come and pick at it and bring the hair to the nest to use. The eggs are light blue and there are usually four to five. After the baby birds hatch they remain in the nest eighteen to twenty one days before they leave the nest.
Nests should be removed from the Bluebird house and the house washed out for the next birds to use. We live in a rural area with some land, trees and fence for the birds to perch on which they often do. You can tell a blue bird by the gorgeous blue on its back, wings and tail with a rust color on its breast. The males are the most colorful; almost a florescent blue with the light shining on them.
Maybe in the pictures that I am posting today you get to see something you have never seen before and may the Bluebird of happiness be always with you.

The Butterfly in Thee

Healing From the Inside Out
| 11 November, 2012 19:01
God Bless

Prayer of Love
| 11 November, 2012 13:50

| 25 October, 2012 14:52
God Bless
Derby Party

Happy Fathers Day
| 16 June, 2012 15:07

Look Who Came Knocking - A Yellow Finch
| 04 June, 2012 16:51

My Little Bumblebee Nikki
| 02 June, 2012 14:38

Rain
| 01 June, 2012 18:44

True Love

To My Little Butterfly Nicole
| 28 May, 2012 13:12
Today I saw this beautiful butterfly in my garden and thought of you.

Rain Drops

Perfection
| 22 May, 2012 15:58

Thank You

Rise and Shine

Train in the Sky

Heaven's Music

Bluebirds
